The first stop of the Blaze 9 Ball Tour’s season brought 34 players out to Atlantic City Billiard Club in Egg Harbor, NJ. Mike Davis, Joey Testa, Shaun Wilkie, Oscar Bonilla, Lee Holt, and Matt Krah were among those who came out, but Testa walked away with the grand prize.

With 27 tables available for play, the double-elimination event finished just before sunrise, showing just how strong the top finishers were.

The 2007 International Cue Collectors Show
The 2007 International Cue Collectors Show will be held October 18-20, 2007 at the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Houston, Texas. Thursday, October 18 will be a day for golf and socializing over an informal dinner. On Friday, October 19, the event officially begins with a morning introduction of the new book “Cue Art” by Martyne Bachmen and a discussion on cue collecting and art featuring a panel of the invited cuemakers and guests. That afternoon a private cue showing for cuemakers, participating cue collectors and guests will be held in the hotel’s main ballroom. During this showing the “Grand Collection 2007” will be selected, comprised of cues selected to represent each participating cuemaker and collector. A cocktail party will follow at 5:00 PM.

Going through 2 days of play and 76 billiards players, Filipino sensation Gandy Valle came out on top of the January 27-28 Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour stop at Snookers Café in Providence, RI.
As the winners’ side dwindled to the top four, Valle flew past Joe Tucker 9-4 while Kevin Guimond squeaked past Tom McGonagle 9-8. That set up the hot seat match where Valle dominated and drilled Guimond 9-2 to reach the finals.
